Central Coast Safety Group meeting on 15th May 2019

Another great turn out for the Central Coast Safety Group meeting  held at  Somersby – 18 people came to listen to:

Warwick Ryan and Mitchell Strachan from Hickson Lawyers who spoke about the “Psychological injuries in the workplace- too expensive not to take seriously”  Warwick as usual provided and lead an interesting, knowledgeable and  informative discussion and only sorry I had to call a halt to his presentation due to time constraints. Mitch spoke about his experience in managing the claims – thank you both for your great presentations.

FYI Warwick has recommended we read “Crucial Conversation – tools for talking when stakes are high” for both our  work and personal life.

John Rodney from K&L Gates provided us with a 5- minute legal update

Last year there was a question relating to use of hypnotherapy in the treatment of stress particularly in relation to stress claims/ psychological injures.  Sheridan O’Shea has been actively involved in this field and spoke about her experiences. Sharon has provided information

Please diarise dates and venues for future meeting.
