Minutes of Safety Group Virtual Meeting on the 19th November, 2020

We had 34 +people attending our final Safety Group virtual meeting for 2020.

We were fortunate to have Dr Jennifer Long discuss the various types of vision problems people experience in normal life. She then provided examples of vision related problems at a work. This led into the discussion “Who was responsible – the worker or the workplace? “   Please watch the recording as Jennifer covered a lot and there was so much to take back to the workplace.     https://youtu.be/nv76ReT_ouQ

Thank you again Jennifer for sharing your knowledge and experience.

This was the last combined group meeting for 2020 and I believe unless there is a miracle we will be returning still with virtual meetings or webinars until probably closer to Easter. Obviously, things change constantly so will keep you updated

If you have any ideas for speakers for 2021 please let us know. The only restriction we have is the speakers are sharing their knowledge and not selling their services/ programs

I will be removing myself as the facilitator for the Central Coast and North West Sydney Safety Groups as we move into 2021.   We have some great people taking on the job

  • North West Sydney Safety Group: Sean Bourke and Michele Stromquist
  • Central Coast Safety Group: Sean Bourke and Ken Robertson

I would like to take this time to thank the AIHS for their support especially over this COVID period. Phoebe, and Sarah have been very patient and a great help especially with this computer dinosaur!

Thank you Michele Stromquist for your great support as co-facilitator for the NWSSG. It has been great working with you.

A very special thanks to the members of the Central Coast and North West Sydney Safety Groups.  I have so enjoyed meeting you (prior to COVID) and love the way people are still supporting each other and using this forum to ask questions and share ideas.

No I haven’t disappeared completely and will still be around. However it’s time for someone else to take over and poor Sean and Ken didn’t step back quickly enough !!

If you wish to add your name to the group please don’t hesitate to contact me

Wishing everyone a wonderful Christmas break and a safe and healthy 2021
